Please update your directory as follows:  The correct e-mail address for Steve's Sports is Steve [at] Stevesports.com.  The directory mistakenly had an extra "s" in the middle.

GCBCA/NEOBCA NEWS

Congratulations to Steve Norris (Willoughby South) and Dennis Markiewcz (Holy Name) our 2011 Coaches of the Year.  Joe Suvak (Independence) received the  Assistant Coach of the Year award.

The Golden Deeds Award was presented to Bob Rosen from the Wahoo Club.

The NEOBCA recently announced their 2012 Hall of Fame Class.

This years class will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the All-Star Game played at Progressive Field in June.

Winter Meeting

The Winter Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday January 25th at Brooklyn HS 7:00PM.  If the school is closed for weather, we will reschedule the meeting.

  • OHSBCA ($15) & NEOBCA ($15) updates and dues accepted

• All-Star Selection Meeting:
  • All-Star Game Saturday May 26th: Berea HS 10AM/ 12:30PM
  • Just a reminder, $10 per player due at time of meeting.
  • Each school is guaranteed at least one player. Seniors only.
  • Representative from each school must be present to nominate a player.

*****School's must have a representative present at both the fall and winter meetings to have a player eligible to participate in the GCBCA Annual All-Star Game*****

Nominations Due December 15th

Just a reminder that all nominations are due for Coach of the Year, Golden Deeds and NEOBCA Hall of Fame on December 15th.

Fall Meeting a Success

The fall meeting was a success with over 60 schools represented.  A coaches directory has been sent out via e-mail; if you have not received it yet contact Coach Sliwinski.  We look forward to seeing you at the Winter meeting.

Our fall meeting will be Wednesday November 16th at Garfield Hts. HS at 7:00PM.  Registration starts at 6:30PM.
